Concealed Carry Class
Historic Arms will offer Concealed Carry Classes at the
Norfolk Gun Show
The classes will be held from 1pm until 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $65 and includes a $15 gift certificate to purchase a handgun from Perfect Trigger at the show.
Completion of one of these classes will meet the training requirements to apply for a Virginia Permit to Carry a Concealed Handgun which is recognized in some 28 states. It also meets the training requirement for a Florida non-resident permit which adds 5 more states for a total of 33 states.
The focus of the class will be how if at all possible to avoid a confrontation but, if unavoidable, how to use a firearm defensively. There will be extensive information about the rights, wrongs, ethics and morality of correctly using a firearm defensively. The objective of this is to emphasize the responsibilities which a person accepts with a decision to carry a firearm.
The course will be taught by Robert L. Starer who is certified by the NRA in seven disciplines of firearms instruction.
